Holy, Holy, Holy!

Sunday, October 28, 2007

“Holy, holy, holy! Lord God almighty. Early in the morning our voice shall rise to Thee.
Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty! God in three persons, blessed trinity.”

On Friday and Saturday we were teaching jmejr the first stanza of the hymn, “Holy, Holy, Holy” and after going through it about 3 or 4 times, jmejr looks up and says, “who are the 3 persons names?”

We praise God for teaching us and reminding us through the lips of children.

Are you speaking of the same jmejr who, while sitting next to his Sunday School teacher during the lesson, decided to reach over and untie my shoe and smile. I promptly retied my shoe and he promtly tried again…only the now double knot did not yield the satisfaction as the first attempt but yielded a little jmejr “how come it didn’t untie?” look. Other than this little incident, he was probably the most behaved child in class today.

Yup. That’s the one. Also the same one that had his fingers up his nose when I was speaking with Mrs. Nancy Campbell on the telephone and she was saying how much of a gentleman jmejr was going to be at some friend’s home that he and I were going on Friday evening.
