Firsts; Around the Web

As we moved through our Second Day of the week (with Sunday, THE Lord’s Day, being the FIRST DAY of the week), we have had several movements in with our children. CJE has begun to do the “ARMY crawl”. He now scoots around with his hands underneath him. It is amazing to watch. It is also amazing to watch JMEjr watch him also. He adores cje, as well as him adoring his older brother. It’s a fun game also as you set something before him and as he comes after it, you begin to move what it is that he is after.
The other first is that we nervously disassembled JMEjr’s crib last nigh, moved that to storage for the time, and placed him in to a twin bed (which we were graciously given by Mrs. Juju, and is a part of a very nice set of bunk beds). Thus far (as it is now 4:10 a.m.) he has done well, not once leaving the bed last night. He did cry twice when one of his parental units “checked” in on him, because she they thought it was too quiet in there. When we placed him into bed, after reading him a story, which amazingly he now knows all the words (at least the key words to) and he can read it basically to us. And it is a 26 page story as it goes through the the Christmas story using the alphabet letters. We instructed him that he had one opportunity to get out of bed and after that, he was going to be spanked for his disobedience. Soooooo, off we went, leaving the door cracked open and our ears to the ground.

As I said, 8 hours later he is still in there and has not gotten out of bed.

Around the Web

Enough for now, I’ve got to head out for my morning walk, jog, thing that I do. Mmmmm, what  shall I listen to?

Blessings.
